Nicole Kidman has announced that she and husband Keith Urban are having a baby.

The couple have been together 18 months now and both feel overjoyed at the news of a family on the way. The couple were married in Sydney in June 2006.

The 40-year-old Australian actress has already said she will be “winding down” her work comitments as much as possible next year.

The baby, whose expected arrival date has not yet been revealed, will be Nicole’s first natural child.

Nicole adopted Isabella, 14, and twelve-year-old Conor during her first marriage to Tom Cruise. Shortly after they split, she revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage during the marriage.

Nicole spent her Christmas holiday in Syndey, after finishing work on Baz Lurhmann’s epic romantic adventure film “Australia” on December 21.

She is due to film The Reader with Ralph Fiennes and British director Stephen Daldry in Berlin next month, but has no more cinema work planned after that.

“I just want to spend as much time as possible with my husband,” she told the Daily Mail.

Nicole has said she may return to filming in 2009 but is not making any promises, but I hope a beautifull talented actress like Nicole will return to filming after a few years off.

After Lindsay Lohan broke up with Riley Giles he has been a man spurned by the whole Lohan experiance, and is now threatening to leak naughty nude photos on the internet.

Lynne Spears even managed to get someone to publish a parenting book, written by herself, entitled Pop Culture Mom. However the book has been indefinitely delayed since this year has brought out so many secrets from the Spears family.
