After an accident on set of her new film, Iron Man, Gwyneth Paltrow has been left with a perminantly numb leg. Gywneth broke her knee and tried to act through her pain, untill she was told by a doctor the injury needed surgery.
She said, “I broke my knee - because I’m a moron and I’m always bashing into things by accident. I’ve broken my toes 30 times.
Gwyneth continued, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I bashed my knee, it really hurt”.
The accident also caused a bust-up with director John Favreau, who was sure she was exaggerating her pain: “I kept exercising and running around in the movie. Then it really started to expand. In one scene I’m running away from Ironmonger - the bad Iron Man - and I said to John, ‘My knee is really hurting, I don’t know how many times I can do this.’ He was rolling his eyes, saying ‘you’re fine’.
“But I went to the doctor and I had a fracture so bad they had to do surgery the next day. They put cement in there! So I felt very smug and he apologised.”
“It still doesn’t feel right. I had a nerve problem. My legs don’t feel the same. Sometimes it happens with surgery. If I get a wax, one leg hurts more than the other”.
Aah! it must be so hard being a Hollywood actress, having to run around all day for millions of dollars, poor thing.
Paula Abdul lost the plot on American Idol last night, saying she was left “empty” by a song that was never performed.
There are concerns among her friends and collegues that Paula Abdul has been taking drugs and a huge amount of alcohol. Paula had a diva strop and minor breakdown in front of the press in LAX airport last month.
At last we know American Idol isn’t scripted, if Paula could act that well she wouldn’t be a judge on a reality TV show.
The paparazi that hang around outside Amy Winehouse’s home told their story of this mornings commotion.
After the fight that she had with her father, Mitch, Amy was eager to speak to whoever would listen, and the only people around were the paparazi.
One pap said “Her father arrives, goes into her house and gives her a massive bollocking. You could just hear screaming and shouting inside. He was telling her, ‘You’ve got to f**king pull yourself together.’ We just heard swearing and shouting.”
They coninued, “I ended up having a 10-minute conversation with her on the doorstep. She insisted she is not divorcing Blake. She’s totally in love with him. I said, ‘How are things?’ She said, ‘It’s beautiful. The summer’s come and I can’t wait to get my Blake back.’”
They continued “You’ve seen us together - and you know how much we’re in love with each other. We’re gonna be together forever. Can you tell the people at the papers to stop writing lies after lies after lies. We’re not splitting up, I don’t have a new boyfriend, I’m totally in love with Blake and I’ll be going to court with him every single day to support him throughout his case. I couldn’t be happier.”
The pregnant, 17 yr -old, has been scared sick of the idea of giving birth, naturally anyway. Jamie Lynn Spears, who is around 6 months pregnant, was shown a video natural childbirth by her mother and was so scared she has now opted for a Caesarean section.
Lynne spears, the most extreme pushy-parent in the universe, showed her 17 yr-old daughter the video in hopes it would teach the expecting mother how and what will happen.
A close source said: “Lynne was trying to be helpful. She wanted to show Jamie Lynn what a woman goes through giving birth, that it’s a natural and beautiful thing, but all Jamie Lynn saw was the blood ? or ‘goop’ as she called it ? the screaming and the pain. It was too graphic for her. She flipped out and literally got sick.”
They continued: “She is wondering if a C-section is possible. She wants to be knocked out and then wake up when it’s all over.”
A Caesarean section may seem like the easy option, but you may not be able to feel the pain with a, but you will suffer with the scaring for the rest of your life - there is no easy way to give birth, just go with what you think will be most comfortable for you.
