Madonna was visited by Malawi’s chief social welfare official on Wednesday. Madonna is hoping to adopt 23-month-old Malawi boy David Banda with her toy-boy husband Guy Ritchie.
Earlier this week, Madonna refuted claims the former welfare official assigned to her, Penston Kilembe tried to extort money from her and insisted she hadn’t used her “celebrity” to fast-track the adoption.
The Jerusalem Post has reported that several A-list celebrities will make a visit to the Holy Land in September. Madonna and her family, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and possibly Bruce Willis will join thousands of Kabbalah Center students for a 10-day High Holiday pilgrimage in Israel, which will begin with Rosh Hashanah (September 12-14) and ends with Yom Kippur (September 21-22).
The paper reports that the press will be asked to keep its distance from the celebrities afterMadonna was hounded by media when she made a similar visit three years ago.
