Even after worldwide contoversy and faced with losing her job as star of Disney’s Hannah Montana TV show, Miley Cyrus is still smiling for the press, she really is a little Britney in the making.

Miley Cyrus is taking issue with a photo of herself that’s going around the web.

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” Cyrus said Sunday in a statement through her publicist. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

The photos, appearing in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair, were taken by Annie Leibovitz, a renowned celebrity photographer whose edgy, silver-toned portraits have included subjects such as Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie and a naked, pregnant Demi Moore.

The Miley Cyrus pictures accompany an interview with the 15-year-old pop star and her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus. They include shots of the teen wrapped in what appears to be a satin bedsheet, looking over her shoulder with her back exposed.

The Disney Channel, which airs Cyrus’ TV show “Hannah Montana,” was also critical of Vanity Fair.

“Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines,” a network statement said.

A phone message left for a Vanity Fair representative was not immediately returned Sunday night. But in a statement to the TV show “Entertainment Tonight,” Vanity Fair defended its position.

“Miley’s parents and/or minders were on the set all day,” the magazine said. “Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.

Vanity Fair fired back at Disney’s allegations that they took advantage of young Miley Cyrus. Disney’s statement made it sound like Annie Leibovitz and the editors at Vanity Fair gave Miley a lollipop and told her to take her clothes off.

A Disney spokeswoman said that “a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines,”

Vanity Fair’s response was to simply post these behind the scene photos of what really happened. If you want to blame anyone blame the parents (there’s somthing wierd about these photos of Miley and her dad) Don’t blame Vanity Fair.

Miley Cyrus could soon be dropped or pushed out of the spolight on the childrens TV programme Hannah Montana, with Disney bosses favouring co-star Selena Gomez - who hasn’t posed nude or in underwear for the world to see.

The 15-yr-old star caused her downfall by posing nude in last weeks Vanity Fair.

The naked photoshoot comes months after Miley posted half naked photos of her in her underwear on her myspace page.

So Disney think 15-yr-olds in underwear fine, but they draw the line at nudity.

It must be a strange experiance being a Disney star, spending all your time shopping, posing for pap’s and not going near anything that looks like hard work.

Miley Cyrus is showing she longs to be the new Britney and plays up to the camera’s accordingly.

At least she’s not in her underwear this time!

Vanessa Hudgens is so last year, 19 years old is way too old to be a Disney ho.

Although Vanessa took picture’s in the buff aged 18, Disney like their stars to start early. With Hanna Montana star Miley Cyrus taking photo’s of herself and leaking them onto the internet aged only 15 years old. Are Disney that desperate to get attention they have to start apealing to paedophile’s, oh yeh they’v been doing that for years.

No girls should be taking pics of themselvs for to put on the internet, there are thousands of people that exploit these pictures without you even knowing. You don’t want some random paedophile to get hold of anything to do with you, especially naughty photo’s.

Normally I’m quite happy to print pic’s of celebrities doing things they shouldn’t, but an over sexed 15 year old is too far for me, I have my limits.

Girls (and boys) if you want to take dirty pictures of yourself keep them under your bed like everyone else, don’t let your face and body be asociated with the most disgusting people you can find on the web.
