The latest rumour to sweep Hollywood is that Nicole Richie may be in talks with MTV about a new reality TV show.
Yesterday Nicole was spotted outside the MTV studios in Santa Monica, lookng very pleased with herself.
MTV aproached Nicole last year about the new project, MTV were so impressed with the success of The Simple Life - that Nicole did with Paris Hilton - they have offered her her own show.
The influx of celebrity designers in the fashion industry has been a recent phenomenon for the trends the younger generation are wearing on the streets, and there are plenty more to look forward too. Avril Lavigne, Ashlee Simpson, Hayden Panettiere and America Ferrera (among others) are to have their own fashion lines soon as so many teen girls really, really adore them.
Avril Lavigne will partner with Kohl’s to launch “Abbey Dawn, a juniors’ lifestyle brand.” The fashion line will hit stores in July for the back-to-school shopping rush and will be rock-and-roll-inspired. The brand will start with apparel and jewelry and add more products as it rolls out new collections every two months.
Ashlee Simpson has designed a line for Wet Seal, the line will launch the same day her new album Bittersweet World launches.

The collection features designs inspired by Ashlee Simpson’s personality, sense of style and album artwork. Each piece displays Ashlee’s signature touch and will be priced in line with Wet Seal merchandise.
Ashlee Said: “I was inspired by so many fun, wonderful things as I was recording Bittersweet World and it’s been great to carry through those inspirations into these new shirt designs,” She continued. “I hope my fans love this album and rock out in these shirts!”
Nicole Richie has designed a jewelry line consisting of a 50-piece costume-jewelry collection for Mouawad. Heidi Klum has already designed for Mouawad, which is planning to launch the lines this year.
Prices for the Nicole Richie Collection are from $30 to $150, the pieces are sold in stores like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. the designs include leather, silk strings, chains, rivets, feathers, and gold-plated metals.
Sounds exciting.
But that not all for Nicole, she has revealed that she will use her recent pregnancy experience to create a range of maternity clothes. Nicole has tried her hand at being a reality TV star, novelist, and jewelry designer, and has also been rumoured to have a children’s line and signature fragrance in works.

Nicole Richie went into labour with her new baby girl on Thursday and she finally gave birth on Friday, they have named the baby Harlow Winter Kate Madden. The father of Nicole’s baby, Joel Madden has said “We are very blessed she’s healthy and beautiful.” The couple left the hospital ealier today, with their daughter.
Christina Aguilera gave birth later on Friday to a baby boy, rumoured to be named Kevin Jon Bratman. Christina and husband Jordan Bratman are yet to tell details to the press.
The hospital that has seen the arrival of these two new celebrty babies has been awash with photographers trying to catch the first glimps of the new borns.
I would hope these two starletts would take 2008 off to look after their new families, but I doubt either will be out of the public eye for longer than a couple of weeks.
Last week, Nicole Richie held a celebrity studded baby shower. Paris Hilton attended and is now being blamed for these photos being released to the press. I don’t see what the fuss is about, it’s not like they were doing cocain on the closest flat surface and shagging each other in the corner, are these people seriously telling us they don’t like their photos being spread all over the media.
They are not bad photos, why appear to hate your apparant best friend in front of the press, attention?

Mischa Barton has sparked rumors that her and Nicole Richie’s friendship is having a few issues.
Mischa told press “I think of Nicole as a good friend but she hasn’t been in touch recently. It’s quite fickle of her.”
Last week, Nicole, 25, and Mischa, 20, the pair was spotted leaving separately out of the kitchen door of a Hollywood restaurant, but then Nicole and Mischa drove off together in Nicole’s Mercedes G500.
Problems or just being petty, you can’t expect a pregnant friend to be just as attentive to you as before.
