Many pop stars have ‘problems’ with alcohol, but most don’t cancel gigs because of it, although some really should.
Avril Lavigne has cancelled a show in San Diego last night due to drinking too much. Fans of the singer were disapointed to say the least when they were told Avril won’t be performing due to a hangover, especially since most of her fans aren’t old enough to drink.

Paula Abdul lost the plot on American Idol last night, saying she was left “empty” by a song that was never performed.
There are concerns among her friends and collegues that Paula Abdul has been taking drugs and a huge amount of alcohol. Paula had a diva strop and minor breakdown in front of the press in LAX airport last month.
At last we know American Idol isn’t scripted, if Paula could act that well she wouldn’t be a judge on a reality TV show.
Jackass star Steve O, real name Stephen Glover, has been arrested for possession of cocaine, among other offenses.
Steve O, 33, wrote in a message to his fans headlined: “You Should All Know I’m In The Looney Bin.”
Steve O said he was initially placed on a “three-day ‘hold’ … resulting from suicidal behavior” after the intervention of friends, including “Jackass” cohorts Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, and that his psychiatric stay has since been extended to 14 days.
“I’m not getting out of this ‘insane asylum’ any time in the immediate future,” he wrote. “I did a great deal of damage to my brain by abusing drugs and now that they’ve all worn off, I’m facing the consequences.”
Glover explained that he wrote his message on paper and gave it to associates with instructions that it be posted on the Internet. The note concluded: “I Love You All, Steve-O.”
Steve O was admitted to the Thalians Mental Health Center last Sunday (the same place Owen Wilson was.) The drug charge stems from his arrest on March 3 for allegedly vandalizing his neighbor’s property, where the police found him in possession of coke.
Steve-O was, according to a source, breaking holes in the walls of his L.A. apartment building when one of his neighbors dropped a dime on him, and even made a citizen’s arrest, holding Steve-O until the LAPD arrived, and took him away.

It looks as though Amy Winehouse is making her way back to reality and is now clean and sober. But as with all druggie celebrities it will take more than a few weeks to prove she is totally clean, but for now Amy seems to be back to life.
Amy Winehouse’s brother, Alex Winehouse, told press, “It was hard to take in that the barely communicative shell in front of us was my own flesh and blood. I should mention here that we all knew how bad her condition was. There was never any denial on the part of my parents, whose fears and anxiety over their only daughter had made them both ill.”
He continued “Yes, the best of weekends. Spurs continue their resurgence, but most importantly of all very definite signs that Amy - the real Amy - is back among us. The hope, of course, is that this time it’s for real.”
Amy was snapped on Wednesday in Soho, London, looking much healthier than she did just weeks ago.
If anything says you need to book yourself into rehab quick, being caught smoking crack cocain on video would be top of my list.

Amy was also seen a few months ago sniffing cocain from what looked like a bullet despenser, that can be slipped up your sleve, at one of her concerts.
You do feel for Amy, and other durgged up celebrities. Amy has people around all the time trying to get them on camera doing anything gossip worthy, someone Amy thought of as a friend sold this video to The Sun. The only way to know that you wont get sold out is to not do anything wrong, or not do anything wrong when there is a camera about, most people manage that but the drugs mess with your ability to asses your enviroment.
Amy Winehouse is not the only celebrity seen on video taking drugs, 50 Cent was caught on camera just before an interview with him was about to take place. But the 50 Cent video is slightly more vague than the Winehouse video. 50 is seen huddled over a table with mates with his head pressed to the table top, but no drugs are clearly seen.
I think Amy Winehouse (unlike 50 Cent) is a true star, and being a local girl only makes her more appealing, but crack is one of the dirtiest drugs about and even light drug takers think it’s a whole new level of addiction.
No one really knows what she is going through and no one knows how to help her because addiction of any kind is somthing you have to do on your own, just enjoy Amy while she’s here and hope she’ll clean herself up soon.
